A community-managed visit to a traditional Sumbanese village, hosted by the clan and priced by the village cooperative. You share a meal, hear the ancestral house explained by the family who maintains it, and see ikat dyed with local indigo.

The house is a body
A Sumbanese uma is understood as a living body with a head (the peaked roof, where heirlooms and ancestors live), a trunk and legs. Which part you may enter depends on who you are.
